Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 203 of the acts of 1988 is hereby amended by inserting after section 14 the following section:-

Section 14A. Any person employed by a county agency prior to October first, nineteen hundred and eighty-eight who, as a result of this act becomes employed by a state agency as defined in section one of chapter two hundred and sixty-eight A of the General Laws, shall not be precluded from holding a second position with a state agency under the provisions of section twenty-one of chapter thirty of the General Laws or section seven of said chapter two hundred and sixty-eight A if such position was held prior to said October first, nineteen hundred and eighty-eight.
