Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 6 of chapter 150E of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1988 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "concession", in line 8, the words:- ; provided, however, that in no event shall the right of any employee to run as a candidate for or to hold elective office be deemed to be within the scope of negotiation.
