Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The deputy commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions of section forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws, to execute and deliver in the name and on behalf of the commonwealth to an entity with experience in the management and operations of recreational facilities, one or more instruments to lease property, located in the town of Canton, known as the "Blue Hills Ski Area", for recreational purposes. Said lease shall be subject to such terms and conditions as determined by the deputy commissioner in consultation with the metropolitan district commission.

Said property is shown and described in Plans numbered 40489 through 40491 inclusive of the parks-engineering division of the metropolitan district commission.

Said lease shall be for a period not to exceed ten years. The deputy commissioner, in consultation with the metropolitan district commission, may renew such lease for additional five year periods.
