Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 325 of the acts of 1977 is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 6 and 7, the words "six thousand five hundred dollars per year" and inserting in place thereof the words:- nine thousand three hundred twenty-eight dollars per year; provided, however, that said city may annually increase the pension paid to said George N. Chester, Jr. based on the cost of living percentum increase determined by the general court in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and two of chapter thirty-two of the General Laws.
