CHAPTER 559 AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE ASSIGNMENT OF AN ESTATE TO SPOUSES IN CERTAIN DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
Section 34 of chapter 208 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1988 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the third sentence the following sentence:- In fixing the nature and value of the property to be so assigned, the court shall also consider the present and future needs of the dependent children of the marriage.
