Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4 of chapter 111D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1988 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "officers", in line 22, the following words:- ; or (e) any laboratory maintained exclusively for a health promotion screening program, as defined in regulations of the department, which does not provide reports for diagnosis or treatment of patients and which meets standards for such program established by the department.
SECTION 2. Section 8 of said chapter 111D, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "laboratory", in line 28, the words:- , or unless such examination is for the purpose of providing a health promotion screening program and is not used for diagnosis or treatment of patients.
SECTION 3. Said section 8 of said chapter 111D, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word "laboratory", in lines 35 and 36, the words:- , or unless such examination is for the purpose of providing a health promotion screening program and is not used for diagnosis or treatment of patients.
