Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
The deputy commissioner of capital planning and operations acting for and on behalf of the commonwealth is hereby authorized subject to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J of chapter seven of the General Laws to acquire by eminent domain, by purchase or otherwise within the provisions of chapter six hundred and ninety-three of the acts of nineteen hundred and fifty-five the hereinafter described parcel of land located in the city of Beverly which is being used by said city for public landing purposes for boats and to transfer the care, custody and control of said land to the department of public works for highway purposes in conjunction with the replacement of the Beverly-Salem bridge, so-called.
Said land is more particularly bounded and described as follows:-
Parcel 1-6. Said land is bounded north by Cabot Street about 32 feet; east by land now or formerly of Webkon Realty about 43 feet and 18 feet respectively; south along the proposed State location line by land now or formerly of the city of Beverly about 54 feet; west by land now or formerly of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts about 82 feet. Containing about two thousand six hundred and fifty-six square feet (2,656 s.f.).
The parcel of land to be acquired is shown on a plan entitled "Plan of Land in Beverly, Massachusetts, Proposed Land Taking From City of Beverly to Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Scale: 1"=40' dated September 27, 1988" which plan is to be kept on file with the chief engineer of the department of public works.
