Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The city of Westfield, acting by and through the city council of said city, is hereby authorized to transfer the care, custody and management of certain park land, from the parks and recreation commission of said city to the school department of said city to be used for educational and recreational purposes. Said parcels are bounded and described as follows:-

Parcel I. Beginning at a point on the northerly line of Steiger Drive said point also being the southeasterly corner of Lot 128 and running thence N 08<= 48' 32" W one hundred sixty-one and 26/100 (161.26') feet to an iron pin; thence running S 81<= 11' 28" W one hundred seven and 93/100 (107.93') feet to an iron pin; thence running N 76<= 37' 32" W (308.00') feet to an iron pin; thence running N 00<= 16' 06" W six hundred seventy-five and 09/100 (675.09') feet to a point; thence running N 86<= 59' 56" E eighty-two and 56/100 (82.56') feet to a 36" Oak stump; thence running N 81<= 52' 00" E four hundred seventy-eight and 96/100 (478.96') feet to a point; thence running S 83<= 01' 41" E three hundred fifty-eight and 24/100 (358.24') feet to an iron pin; thence running S 03<= 05' 19" W two hundred thirty-two and 73/100 (232.73') feet to a point; thence running S 06<= 11' 06" W four hundred thirty and 50/100 (430.50') feet to an iron pipe in a ring of stones; thence running S 76<= 06' 58" W three hundred twenty-six and 68/100 (326.68') feet to a stone bound; thence running S 07<= 41' 02" E one hundred sixty-one and 29/100 (161.29') feet to an iron pin on the northerly line of Steiger Drive; thence running along the northerly line of Steiger Drive S 81<= 11' 28" W one hundred and twenty-five and 00/100 (125.00') feet to a point at the place of beginning. Said parcel contains 15.469 acres of land.

Parcel II. Beginning at an iron pin at the intersection of the southwesterly corner of land owned by Gerald R. and Joan R. Clark with land of the City of Westfield and running thence N 45<= 08' 11" E one hundred ninety-eight and 40/100 (198.40') feet to a point; thence running S 44<= 23' 41" E one hundred eighty and 00/100 (180.00') feet to a point; thence running S 11<= 31' 37" W seven hundred fifty-one and 67/100 (751.67') feet to an iron pin; thence running N 87<= 48' 22" W seven hundred seventy-nine and 70/100 (779.70') feet to a point; thence running N 77<= 09' 00" W twenty-seven and 00/100 (27.00') feet to a point; thence running N 44<= 59' 28" E nine hundred seventy-four and 69/100 (974.69') feet to an iron pin and the place of beginning. Said parcel of land contains 9.345 acres of land.
