Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the congregate housing residence for the elderly at 3 Broad Street in the city of Salem shall be designated and known as the Representative J. Michael Ruane Residence.

The housing authority in said city is hereby authorized and directed to place thereon in a conspicuous place a tablet or other appropriate sign bearing said designation.
