Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 146 of the acts of 1885 is hereby amended by striking out section 2 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

Section 2. Said corporation shall have authority to hold real and personal estate for the purposes aforesaid, in addition to books and objects of curiosity and art.

SECTION 2. Section 5 of said chapter 146 is hereby amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The trustees shall render to the city council annually, within thirty days of the end of the fiscal year of the city of Malden a report of their proceedings, and a statement of the condition of the library, its property and funds, the number of books added during the year, with an accurate account of all receipts and expenditures, together with any other information or suggestions which they may deem desirable.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
