CHAPTER 97 AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE NORFOLK COUNTY HOSPITAL TO MASSACHUSETTS RESPIRATORY HOSPITAL.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The hospital operated and maintained by the county commissioners of Norfolk county, under the provisions of section eighty-two of chapter one hundred and eleven of the General Laws, shall be designated and known as the Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital.

SECTION 2. All statutory provisions, whether in general or special acts, that refer to the Norfolk County Hospital, the hospital operated by Norfolk county, or by any similar designation shall be deemed to mean the Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital; provided, however, that such statutory provisions shall in no other way be modified by this act.

SECTION 3. The special account authorized by section one of chapter five hundred and fourteen of the acts of nineteen hundred and eighty-three shall be known as the Massachusetts respiratory hospital operations account, and all references in such act and elsewhere to said special account shall be deemed to mean the Massachusetts respiratory hospital operations account.

SECTION 4. All presently existing legal rights and obligations created by statute, contract, or otherwise, pertaining to the Norfolk County Hospital shall be deemed to be rights and obligations of the Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital.

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
