CHAPTER 128 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PITTSFIELD TO APPOINT A CHIEF OF POLICE FOR A TERM OF YEARS NOT EXCEEDING FIVE YEARS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The mayor of the city of Pittsfield is hereby authorized to appoint, in conformity with the charter of said city, a chief of police for a term not to exceed five years, which term shall commence on the third Monday in January in the year of such appointment.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
