Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. To provide for the costs of resolving a certain lawsuit filed in the Berkshire superior court, the sum set forth in section two is hereby appropriated from the General Fund subject to the provisions of law regulating the disbursement of public funds and the conditions pertaining to appropriations in chapter two hundred and forty of the acts of nineteen hundred and eighty-nine, for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and ninety.
