Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 550 of the acts of 1978 is hereby amended by striking out section 6 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

Section 6. There is hereby established a community development board which shall consist of no less than five members, who shall serve for terms of no less than three years as determined by ordinance. Said members shall be appointed by the town manager. Said board shall have all powers, duties and functions of a planning board under applicable law. The officers of said board shall be determined by ordinance.
