Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. The deputy commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations, subject to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J of chapter seven of the General Laws, inclusive, is hereby authorized to convey a certain parcel of land in the town of Clinton containing five acres, more or less, to the town of Clinton to be used by said town for cemetery purposes. Said land is presently under the control of the division of watershed management of the metropolitan district commission.
Said land is shown on a plan of land entitled "Plan of Land in Clinton to be conveyed to the town of Clinton", dated April 1990, which is on file in the office of the division of watershed management of the metropolitan district commission in the town of Clinton and said parcel of land is bounded and described as follows:-
Starting at a stone monument located on the northerly side of Route 110, approximately twelve hundred fifty and 00/100 (1,250.00) feet southwesterly of South Meadow Road.
Thence northeasterly along the northerly side of Route 110, one hundred and thirty-four and 82/100 (134.82) feet to the point of beginning of the parcel.
Thence N 39<=-15'-00" W four hundred twelve and 18/100 (412.18) feet to a point.
Thence N 69<=-45'-00" E eight hundred thirty-six and 01/100 (836.01) feet to a point.
Thence S 39<=-15'-00" E one hundred forty and 00/100 (140.00) feet to a point.
Thence S 50<=-45'-00" W seven hundred ninety and 45/100 (790.45) feet along the northerly side of Route 110, to the point of beginning of the parcel.
SECTION 2. Chapter six hundred and eighty-five of the acts of nineteen hundred and seventy-nine is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. In the event the parcel described in section one is not used for cemetery purposes within five years of the effective date of this act, or if the town ceases to use the parcel for such purposes thereafter, said parcel shall revert to the commonwealth upon terms and conditions as determined by said deputy commissioner.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
