CHAPTER 354 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE STATE SECRETARY TO AUTHORIZE THE SOLEMNIZATION OF A CERTAIN MARRIAGE.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately authorize the solemnization of a certain marriage, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of section thirty-nine of chapter two hundred and seven of the General Laws, the state secretary authorizes in the manner set forth in said section thirty-nine, the solemnization of a marriage by Christopher J. Hodgkins in the town of Deerfield on December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and ninety between Joan C. Peabody and R. Gary Stetson both of the town of Deerfield, and the state secretary shall issue to said Christopher J. Hodgkins a certificate of such authorization.

Approved December 21, 1990.
