Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The deputy commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions of sections forty E through forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws, to transfer certain parcels of land and easements located in the city of Lynn to the metropolitan district commission for roadway purposes subject to such additional terms and conditions as the deputy commissioner may prescribe in consultation with the board of regents, said land being:

Parcel A

Easement to a parcel of land, situated in the City of Lynn, Essex County, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, adjoining the northerly MDC location line of the Lynnway and bounded by said location line and by a line described as follows:

Beginning at a point on said location line, said point bearing N 26 degrees 33' 56"E and being 52.01 feet distant from Station 96+72.83 of the Lynnway baseline, and extending thence, leaving said location line, N 04 degrees 13' 34"E 33.74 feet;

thence, S 63 degrees 20"E 72.66 feet;

thence, S 26 degrees 42' 40"W, 31.17 feet to a point again on said northerly location line, said point bearing N 26 degrees 42' 42"E and being 52.00 feet distant from station 97+32.48 of said baseline;

S following said location line N 63 degrees 17' 20"W, 59.76 feet to the point of beginning.

Said parcel contains about 2,064 square feet.

The parcel of land hereby described is shown on a plan signed by the DIRECTOR OF PARK ENGINEERING, said plan being entitled:

Parcel B

Easement to a parcel of land, situated in the City of Lynn, Essex County, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, adjoining the northerly MDC location line of the Lynnway and bounded by said location line and by a line described as follows:

Beginning at a point on said location line, said point bearing N 24 degrees 17' 46"E and being 56.49 feet distant from Station 94+74.78 of the Lynnway baseline, and extending thence, leaving said location line, N 26 degrees, 42' 40"E 31.17 feet;

thence, S 63 degrees 17' 20"E 187.34 feet;

thence, S 04 degrees 13' 34"W, 33.74 feet to a point again on said northerly location line, said point bearing N 26 degrees 33' 56"E and being 52.01 feet distant from Station 96+72.83 of said baseline;

thence, following said location line N 63 degrees 17' 20"W, 200.24 feet to the point of beginning.

Said parcel contains about 6,040 square feet.

The parcel of land hereby described is shown on a plan signed by the DIRECTOR OF PARK ENGINEERING, SAID PLAN BEING ENTITLED:

Parcel G

A parcel of land, situated in the City of Lynn, Essex County, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, adjoining the easterly street line of Market Street Extension and the southerly street line of Broad Street and bounded by a line described as follows:

Beginning at a point on said easterly street line of Market Street Extension, said point bearing N 56 degrees 12' 20"E and being 49.09 feet distant from Station 3+88.77 of the Market Street Construction baseline.

thence, following said easterly street line, northerly by a curve to the left having a radius of 456.54 feet, and a length of 41.38 feet;

thence, following the line defining the southeasterly intersection of said streets to a curve to the right having a radius of 6.13 feet and a length of 10.96 feet;

thence, following said southerly street line of Broad Street, N 62 degrees 40' 20"E, 56.38 feet to a point being identical with station 10+64.60 of the Broad Street Construction baseline;

thence, leaving said baseline and said southerly street line, westerly by a curve to the left having a radius of 142.00 feet and a length of 19.43 feet;

thence, by another curve to the left having a radius of 42.00 feet and a length of 65.52 feet, to the point of beginning.

Said parcel contains about 581 square feet.

Parcel H

A parcel of land, situated in the City of Lynn, Essex County, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, adjoining the easterly MDC location line of the Lynnway, and the westerly street line of Washington Street and bounded by a line described as follows:

Beginning at a point on said location line of the said point bearing N 26 degrees 42' 40"E and being 52.00 feet distant from Station 101+63.94 of Lynnway baseline.

thence, leaving said location line and tangent thereto, to easterly, to northeasterly, by a curve to the left having a radius of 42.00 feet, and a length of 107.05 feet to a point on said westerly street line of Washington Street, said point bearing N 26 degrees 42' 40"E and being 128.83 feet distant from Station 101+87.40 of said baseline;

thence, tangent to the line back, in part following said westerly street line and in part following said easterly location line N 29 degrees 19' 30"E a total of 126.07 feet;

thence, following said easterly location line by a curve to the right having a radius of 3.50 feet and a length of 8.92 feet;

thence, N 63 degrees 17' 20"W 126.07 feet to the point of beginning.

Said parcel contains about 3502 square feet.
