Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The deputy commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations, acting for and in behalf of the commonwealth, is hereby authorized to acquire by eminent domain or otherwise, a certain parcel of public land, hereinafter described, in the town of Walpole, being used by said town for town common purposes, and to transfer said parcel of land to the department of public works for highway purposes.

Said parcel is located on Route 1-A, Main street in said town and is bounded and described as follows:-

Beginning at Station 176 + 04, 25 feet left; thence North 28<=-40'-15" West 12.25 feet; thence North 37<=-52'-00", East 131.64 feet; thence South 25<=-57'-25" East 15.00 feet; thence South 36<=-11'-40" West 25.53 feet; thence South 37<=-52'-00" West 104.47 feet to the place of beginning, containing one thousand six hundred sixty-two square feet of land more or less.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
