Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
The city of Springfield acting by and through its mayor, with the approval of the city council of said city, is hereby authorized to convey a certain parcel of open space land presently under the care and control of the park department of said city to the Mercy Hospital. Said land is bounded and described as follows:- `tuc EXHIBIT A
A parcel of land in Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts as shown on a plan entitled "COMPILED MAP OF LAND IN SPRINGFIELD (Hampden County) MA PREPARED FOR THE MERCY HOSPITAL OF SPRINGFIELD" prepared by C.T. Male Associates, P.C., dated August 8, 1989, bounded as follows:
NORTHWESTERLY by land now or formerly of Paul M. Desrosiers and Springfield Boys' Club, Inc. approximately 1258.32 feet;
NORTHEASTERLY by land now or formerly of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Springfield approximately 166.95 feet;
SOUTHEASTERLY by land now or formerly of the Springfield Housing Authority approximately 808.44 feet;
NORTHEASTERLY by land now or formerly of the Springfield Housing Authority approximately 134.04 feet;
SOUTHEASTERLY by land now or formerly of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts approximately 393.98 feet; and
SOUTHWESTERLY by land now or formerly of the Mercy Hospital of Springfield approximately 440.00 feet.
Being shown on said plan as "LAND OF CITY OF SPRINGFIELD (PARKS DEPARTMENT)" containing 8.001 acres more or less.
Being a portion of the premises described in a tax deed to the city of Springfield dated September nineteenth, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight and recorded at registry of deeds in the county of Hampden, Book 1663, Page 310.
