CHAPTER 51 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PITTSFIELD TO POSTPONE THE VOTE ON A REFERENDUM QUESTION RELATIVE TO PARK LAND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the city of Pittsfield is hereby authorized to postpone to a date to be set by the city council, which shall be no later than the date of the municipal election to be held in the year nineteen hundred and ninety-one, the referendum question on a vote of the city council taken on March thirteenth, nineteen hundred and ninety authorizing the submission to the general court of a home rule petition authorizing the city of Pittsfield to grant an easement in a parcel of park land in said city.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
