Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The town of Essex, acting through its board of selectmen, is hereby authorized, subject to the approval of the secretary of environmental affairs, to release a portion of conservation restriction #1, granted to said town by Augustus G. Means and shown as Lot 2 on plan entitled "Plan of Land Essex, Mass. to be taken by eminent domain for water supply purposes by the town of Essex, dated March 26, 1990, drawn by Survey Associates, Gloucester, MA". Such plan is to be recorded in the Essex south district registry of deeds.
