CHAPTER 56 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF SOUTHBRIDGE TO PAY CERTAIN BILLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The town of Southbridge, acting by and through its town treasurer, is hereby authorized to pay from available funds the following bills: Edward L. Canter, Inc. the sum of eleven thousand and forty-seven dollars for school supplies; A. Menard and Sons, Inc. the sum of three thousand nine hundred and seventy-eight dollars for replacement windows and P. M. Benoit Masonry the sum of five thousand five hundred and sixty dollars for sidewalk reconstruction, notwithstanding the failure of said town to comply with the appropriate provisions of law relative to competitive bidding in the awarding of the contracts.
