Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
Notwithstanding the provisions of section twenty of chapter six hundred and forty-eight of the acts of nineteen hundred and eighty-seven, any person appointed on or after July first, nineteen hundred and eighty-seven to a position, the salary of which is fixed by the provisions of section twenty-two of chapter two hundred and eleven, section two of chapter two hundred and eleven A or section four of chapter two hundred and eleven B of the General Laws, shall receive the salary or compensation provided for such position by sections three to eight, inclusive, of said chapter six hundred and forty-eight of the acts of nineteen hundred and eighty-seven, to be effective as of the date of his appointment.
