CHAPTER 86 AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING SMOKING IN CERTAIN HEALTH CARE FACILITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The second paragraph of section 22 of chapter 270 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1988 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- Any person admitted to a health care facility as defined in said section nine C of said chapter one hundred and twelve shall, upon request, be assigned a room in which smoking is not permitted and shall be entitled to be assigned to such room for the duration of his stay or until an alternative assignment is requested.
