Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections one hundred and fifty-one and one hundred and fifty-one A of chapter one hundred and forty of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the city of Lynn may appoint its dog officer for an initial term of three years and upon reappointment for an unlimited term but he may be removed in accordance with the provisions of the charter of said city of Lynn.
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of section one, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the city of Lynn is hereby authorized to immediately grant an unlimited term to the present incumbent of the position of dog officer but he may be removed in accordance with the provisions of the charter of said city of Lynn.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
