Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section twenty-one of chapter forty-one of the General Laws to the contrary, the town of Hinsdale is hereby authorized to place the following question on a ballot at a special election to be held no later than sixty days following the effective date of this act:- `ts `tu Shall the Town vote to have its Selectmen appoint a ___________ YES Board of Health ___________ NO ___________

SECTION 2. If a majority of the votes cast in answer to said question is in the affirmative, the question is approved, the board of selectmen shall forthwith appoint three members to the board of health, one for a term of three years, one for a term of two years, and one for a term of one year. All subsequent appointments shall be for a term of three years.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
