CHAPTER 83 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE MARTHA'S VINEYARD REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE PAYMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS OF THE UNION 19 SCHOOL DISTRICT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School District committee may make payments to defray administration costs for which expenditures would otherwise be prorated and paid by the member towns in the Union 19 School District.

SECTION 2. The treasurer of the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School District is hereby authorized to pay the liabilities incurred under the provisions of section one, after such payment is received from each member town of the Union 19 School District for its pro-rata share. Such payments received by said treasurer from such member towns shall be credited to the estimated receipts account.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
