CHAPTER 162 AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SPECIAL TRUST FUND BY THE TOWN OF TISBURY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Tisbury may establish a special trust fund which shall be kept separate from other funds of the town and into which shall be deposited the proceeds of sale of one or more easements on or under the town's parking lot on Water street. Any current or retained earnings of the fund established hereunder, but not the principal thereof, may be expended by the board of selectmen, subject to specific appropriation by said town at a special or annual meeting, for any purpose for which the town may be authorized to expend money. The town treasurer shall be authorized to invest the principal and retained income of the fund in the manner permitted by section fifty-four of chapter forty-four of the General Laws.
