CHAPTER 34 AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE APPOINTMENT OF A SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS IN THE TOWN OF SOUTH HADLEY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
Section 3 of chapter 558 of the acts of 1986 is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following two sentences:- The board of selectmen shall appoint for a term not to exceed five years, and may remove, a superintendent of public works who shall be responsible to said board. Upon the expiration of such term said board may reappoint the then superintendent to successive terms.
