CHAPTER 81 AN ACT ESTABLISHING SICK LEAVE BANKS FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE COMMONWEALTH.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately establish sick leave banks for certain employees of the commonwealth, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law or any rule or regulation to the contrary, the trial court of the commonwealth is hereby authorized and directed to establish a sick leave bank for court officer Stephen T. Brown of the Lynn district court of the trial court of the commonwealth. Each employee of said trial court may voluntarily contribute one or more of his personal, sick or vacation days to said bank for use by court officer Stephen T. Brown.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of mental health is hereby authorized and directed to establish a leave bank for Robert Mataresse of the department of mental health. Any employee of the department of mental health may voluntarily contribute one or more sick, vacation or personal days to said bank for use by Robert Mataresse.

Passed without Governor's signature, June 25, 1992.
