Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. The town of Reading, acting by and through its board of selectmen, and the conservation commission of said town, are hereby authorized subject to the approval of the secretary of the executive office of environmental affairs to convey all or part of a certain parcel of conservation land located in said town, to Richard Harper and Eileen Harper both of said town of Reading. Said parcel is more particularly described as follows:-
Beginning at a point on Pearl Street at the northerly corner of property of Harper and southerly corner of property of Bare Meadown Conservation Area, thence northerly along Pearl Street a distance of 20.00' to a point, easterly a distance of 177.34'+ to a point, southerly 219.26'+ to a point, westerly by land of Harper three distances of 54.87', 183.07', and 32.66' to a point of beginning containing 22,737 + square feet.
SECTION 2. In consideration of the conveyance authorized under the provisions of section one, Richard and Eileen Harper shall convey to said town of Reading any land of equal or greater value to be used for conservation purposes, for the amount of one dollar or such larger amount and upon such other terms and conditions as the board of selectmen deems appropriate.
