Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. The commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations, acting for and on behalf of the commonwealth, is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws, to acquire by eminent domain, or otherwise, certain parcels of public land located in the towns of Kingston and Plymouth, and to transfer the care, custody and control of said parcels to the department of highways. Parcels 6-2, 6-5 and 6-51 owned by and located in the town of Kingston, are presently dedicated for recreational use. Parcel 6-48 owned by the Plymouth Housing Authority and located in the town of Plymouth is presently dedicated for a housing use. All of said parcels are to be diverted from their present use to a highway use.
SECTION 2. The parcels of land described in section one are shown on a plan entitled, KINGSTON-PLYMOUTH Relocated U.S. Route 44, Preliminary Right of Way Plan, Property Plan. This plan shall be kept on file with the chief engineer of the department of highways.
