Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 3 of chapter 328 of the acts of 1926, as amended by section 2 of chapter 244 of the acts of 1935, is hereby further amended by inserting after the first sentence the following sentence:- The prudential committee of said district is hereby authorized to appoint persons to the positions of clerk and treasurer for terms of three years.
