Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section thirty-four of chapter fifty-four of the General Laws or any other general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the city of Melrose is hereby authorized to use an optical scanner voting system approved by the state secretary under the provisions of section thirty-two of said chapter fifty-four for the state primary and municipal elections to be held on November second, nineteen hundred and ninety-three and for the general election to be held on November thirtieth, nineteen hundred and ninety-three.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
