Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section five of chapter seventy-nine of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town of Mansfield is hereby authorized to divert the use of three hereinafter described parcels of land, owned by and located in the town of Mansfield, from their present use as parkland to a highway use. These parcels are more particularly described as follows:
Parcel 1-T-1
Beginning at a point opposite and thirty and no hundredths (30.00) feet northerly from Station 00 + 49 on the construction baseline of Thomas Street as established by a plan referred to in section two of this act.
Thence northerly along a curve with a radius of twelve and eighty hundredths (12.80) feet, and a curve length of thirty-six and forty-seven hundredths (36.47) feet to a point being opposite and thirty-eight and no hundredths (38.00) feet southerly from Station 55 + 09 on said construction baseline of Chauncy Street;
Thence easterly along said southerly street line of Chauncy Street to a point twenty-six and eighty-seven hundredths (26.87) feet at a southwesterly bearing of seventy-one degrees, fifty-six minutes and forty-seven seconds (S 71<= 56' 47" W);
Thence southerly along said westerly street line of North Main Street to a point twenty and thirty hundredths (20.30) feet at a northwesterly bearing of four degrees, three minutes and six seconds (N 04<= 03' 06" W);
Thence westerly along said northerly streetline of Thomas Street on a curve with a radius of ten and no hundredths (10.00) feet and a curve length of fourteen and seventy-eight hundredths (14.78) feet;
Thence westerly along said northerly streetline of Thomas Street to the point of beginning.
The last described parcel contains four hundred thirty, more or less, (430+) square feet.
Parcel 1-T-2
Beginning at a point opposite and thirty-eight and no hundredths (38.00) feet northerly from Station 55 + 37 on the construction baseline of Chauncy Street as established by the plan referred to in section two of this act.
Thence northeasterly along a curve with a radius of thirty and no hundredths (30.00) feet and a curve length of three and forty-eight hundredths (3.48) feet;
Thence to a point three and ninety-nine hundredths (3.99) feet at a southeasterly bearing of fifty-two degrees, twelve minutes and fifty-five seconds (S 52<= 12' 55" E);
Thence to a point five and no hundredths (5.00) feet at a southwesterly bearing of thirty-five degrees, twenty-one minutes and nineteen seconds (S 35<= 21' 19" W);
Thence to a point four and no hundredths (4.00) feet at a northwesterly bearing of forty-nine degrees, eighteen minutes and fifty-three seconds (N 49<= 18' 53" W);
Thence northerly along a curve with a radius of thirty and no hundredths (30.00) feet and a curve length of eighteen and eighty-five hundredths (18.85) feet;
Thence to a point five and twenty hundredths (5.20) feet at a northwesterly bearing of five degrees, fourteen minutes and nine seconds (N 05<= 14' 09" W);
Thence to a point five and fifty-two hundredths (5.52) feet at a southwesterly bearing of eighty-four degrees, forty-five minutes and fifty-one seconds (S 84<= 45' 51" W);
Thence southerly along the westerly street line of North Main Street to a point twenty-one and ninety-eight hundredths (21.98) feet at a northwesterly bearing of four degrees, three minutes and six seconds (N 04<= 03' 06" W);
Thence westerly along the northerly streetline of Chauncy Street on a curve with a radius of twenty-five and forty-three hundredths (25.43) feet and a curve length of twelve and fifty hundredths (12.50) feet;
Thence westerly along the northerly streetline of Chauncy Street to the point of beginning.
The last described parcel contains two hundred nine, more or less, (209+) square feet.
Parcel 1-T-3
Beginning at a point opposite and twenty-four and no hundredths (24.00) feet from Station 39 + 97 on the construction baseline of North Main Street as established by the plan referred to in section two of this act.
Thence to a point five and fifty hundredths (5.50) feet with a northeasterly bearing of eighty-two degrees, forty-two minutes, and thirty-two seconds (N 82<= 42' 32" E);
Thence northerly along a curve with a radius of twenty-five and no hundredths (25.00) feet and a curve length of thirty-seven and seventy-three hundredths (37.73) feet;
Thence easterly along the southerly streetline of Crocker Street to a point ten and thirty-four hundredths (10.34) feet at a northeasterly bearing of seventy-seven degrees, twenty-three minutes and forty-two seconds (N 77<= 23' 42" E);
Thence easterly along a curve with a radius of fifteen and no hundredths (15.00) feet and a curve length of twenty-five and eighty hundredths (25.80) feet;
Thence southerly along the westerly streetline of North Main Street to the point of beginning.
The last described parcel contains two hundred fifty-one, more or less, (251+) square feet.
SECTION 2. The parcels of land described in section one of this act are shown on a plan entitled, "Plan of land owned by the Town of Mansfield, Massachusetts showing parcels needed for highway purposes". Said plan is dated October nineteen hundred and ninety-two. This plan shall be kept on file with the chief engineer of the Massachusetts highway department.
