Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 20 of chapter 94C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1992 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "substance", in line 2, the following words:- or instrument described in section twenty-seven.

SECTION 2. Section 27 of said chapter 94C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 18, the word "written",- and by inserting after the word "purchase", in line 48, the following words:- , or may issue an oral prescription to a pharmacist on behalf of said patient to purchase.
