CHAPTER 245 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN OF THE TOWN OF WELLESLEY TO EXEMPT THE POSITION OF DEPUTY CHIEF OF POLICE FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE LAW.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The position of deputy chief of police in the town of Wellesley shall be exempt from the provisions of chapter thirty-one of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. The provisions of section one shall not impair the civil service status of any incumbent holding the office of deputy chief of police in the town of Wellesley on the effective date of this act.
