CHAPTER 29 AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR AN EMPLOYEE OF THE TAUNTON STATE HOSPITAL.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of mental health, Unit 7 at the Taunton state hospital, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of mental health is hereby authorized and directed to establish a sick leave bank for registered nurse supervisor, Elizabeth J. Deal, Unit 7, Taunton state hospital in said department. Any employee of said Taunton state hospital, Unit 7, may voluntarily contribute one or more of his vacation, sick or personal days to said sick leave bank for use by said Elizabeth J. Deal.

Passed without Governor's signature March 26, 1993.
