CHAPTER 314 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE DIVISION OF CAPITAL PLANNING AND OPERATIONS TO CONVEY A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND IN THE TOWN OF TEWKSBURY TO SAID TOWN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations, is hereby authorized subject to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws to convey to the town of Tewksbury, by deed approved as to form by the attorney general, a certain parcel of land located on the grounds of the Tewksbury Hospital in the town of Tewksbury under the control of the department of public health, for the expansion of the town of Tewksbury baseball facilities, said parcel being bounded and described as follows:

Beginning at a point on Chandler Street running in a northeast direction for a distance along Chandler Street of 1,560 feet plus or minus to land of Lafortune,

thence, in a southeast direction along land of Lafortune and Chandonnet a distance of 475 feet plus or minus to a point on Livingston Street,

thence, turning and running in a southerly direction along Livingston Street for a distance of 570 feet plus or minus to a point on East Street,

thence, turning and running in a southwest direction along East Street a distance of 1,600 feet plus or minus to the point of beginning.

Said parcel containing 15 acres plus or minus.

SECTION 2. In the event that the property described in section one is not used for the purpose described in section one within five years of the effective date of this act, or if the use for the aforementioned purpose ceases at any time, the property shall revert to the commonwealth under such terms and conditions as the commissioner may prescribe.
