CHAPTER 320 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF SWAMPSCOTT TO LEASE A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section three of chapter forty of the General Laws, but subject to the provisions of chapter thirty B of the General Laws, the town of Swampscott, acting by and through its board of selectmen and chief procurement officer, is hereby authorized to lease or rent, a certain parcel of land and buildings thereon, acquired for public works purposes, to the Joseph L. Stevens Post 1240, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Inc., for a term not to exceed twenty years upon such terms and conditions as said board of selectmen and said chief procurement officer shall determine.

Said parcel is shown as a portion of Lot 3 on Assessor's Plate 3.

SECTION 2. In consideration for the lease described in section one, the said Joseph L. Stevens Post 1240, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Inc. shall convey in fee to the town of Swampscott Lots 581, 582, 588, 590, 591 and 592 shown on Assessor's Plate 9.
