Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section seventeen of chapter one hundred and thirty-eight of the General Laws, the licensing authority of the town of Ipswich is hereby authorized to issue two additional licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises under the provisions of section twelve of said chapter one hundred and thirty-eight to the Bay Side Grill, Inc. d/b/a Steep Hill Grill and to George A. DePaolo and Michael A. DePaolo d/b/a Paolo's. Said licenses shall be subject to all of the provisions of said chapter one hundred and thirty-eight except said section seventeen; provided, however, that the licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of said licenses to any other person, organization, corporation or location; provided, further, that such increase shall have no effect on the two licenses already authorized over the town's quota which are not part of the town's permanent authorization and that such new quota for all alcoholic year-round licenses in said town shall be eighteen.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
