CHAPTER 377 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SHELBURNE FALLS FIRE DISTRICT TO APPOINT A CLERK/TREASURER AND TAX COLLECTOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the Shelburne Falls fire district commissioners are hereby authorized to appoint a district clerk for a term of up to three years, effective on district election day April eleventh, nineteen hundred and ninety-four, unless the position of district clerk is vacated at an earlier date.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the Shelburne Falls fire district commissioners are hereby authorized to appoint a tax collector for a term of up to three years, effective on district election day April eleventh, nineteen hundred and ninety-four, unless the position of tax collector is vacated at an earlier date.

SECTION 3. The Shelburne Falls fire district commissioners are hereby authorized to combine the positions of district clerk, treasurer, and tax collector into one or more positions to be appointed by the district commissioners for a term of up to three years effective on district election day April eleventh, nineteen hundred and ninety-four, unless the positions are vacated at an earlier date.
