Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the Montachusett regional vocational technical school district committee is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Montachusett Regional Teachers Association, which may become part of the collective bargaining agreement between said committee and said association providing that said district may pay fifty percent of the premium actually paid for group insurance by the surviving spouses of teachers who taught for ten years or more in said district and who died while employed by said district until such time as the surviving spouse remarries.
