Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of section seven of chapter forty-five of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town of Sheffield is hereby authorized to convey a certain parcel of park land to be used for non-park purposes.

Said parcel is bounded and described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the easterly sideline of Main Street (Route 7) at the northwesterly corner of said parcel and at the southwesterly corner of land of Helen L. Bowen Straleau;

Thence, running S58<=-56'-42"E, a distance of 21.43 feet to a point;

Thence, running S73<=-53'-24"E, a distance of 170.47 feet to a point;

Thence, running N41<=-45'-35"E, a distance of 13.60 feet to a point.

The last three (3) courses being along land of said Straleau.

Thence, running S48<=-25'-18"E, a distance of 100.98 feet to a point;

Thence, running N41<=-17'-59"E, a distance of 4.62 feet to a point;

Thence, running S47<=-40'-02"E, a distance of 148.50 feet to a point;

Thence, running N41<=-03'-50"E, a distance of 160.38 feet to a point at land of Rebecca J. MacHaffie.

The last four (4) courses being through land of the Inhabitants of the Town of Sheffield.

Thence, running S47<=-39'-43"E, along land of said MacHaffie, along the southerly terminus of Cook Avenue (a private way) and along land of Richard M. Segalla & Wendy A. Segalla, a distance of 144.85 feet to a point;

Thence, running S41<=-03'-50"W, a distance of 174.71 feet to a point;

Thence, running N54<=-59'-53"W, a distance of 187.97 feet to a point at land of Kenneth J. Cooper & June E. Cooper.

The last two (2) courses being through land of said Inhabitants of the Town of Sheffield.

Thence, running N56<=-58'-40"W, along land of said Cooper, a distance of 33.40 feet to a point;

Thence, running N60<=-38'-40"W, along land of said Cooper and land of Joseph S. Cowen & Marie P. Cowen, a distance of 259.30 feet to a point;

Thence, running N70<=-28'-40"W, a distance of 44.00 feet to a point;

Thence, running N48<=-38'-40"W, a distance of 56.00 feet to a point on the easterly sideline of said Main Street (Route 7).

The last two (2) courses being along land of said Cowen.

Thence, running N43<=-02'-07"E, along the easterly sideline of Main Street (Route 7), a distance of 20.91 feet to the point of beginning.
