CHAPTER 487 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF CERTAIN CONSERVATION RESTRICTIONS ON LAND IN THE CITY OF QUINCY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations is hereby authorized, notwithstanding the provisions of sections forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws or any other general or special laws to the contrary, to release conditions and restrictions reserved by the commonwealth in the deed conveying a certain parcel of land to the city of Quincy in accordance with chapter six hundred and twenty-one of the acts of nineteen hundred and eighty-three entitled "Plan of Land in Quincy, Massachusetts, Broad Meadows," made by Edward Al Leone, City Engineer, dated March 15, 1971 and recorded with the Norfolk registry of deeds Plan Book 299, Page 607.

SECTION 2. The release of such conditions and restrictions shall be upon such terms and conditions as the commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations shall prescribe.

SECTION 3. Upon release of such conditions and restrictions, the city of Quincy shall be authorized to use such property, currently being used for conservation purposes in accordance with Article XCVII of the Constitution of Massachusetts, for the purpose of a municipal parking area. The city of Quincy shall place a parcel of land, at least equal in size, under the jurisdiction of the city of Quincy conservation commission which land shall be preserved as conservation land in accordance with Article XCVII of the Constitution of Massachusetts.

SECTION 4. The city of Quincy shall be responsible for all costs associated with the transactions authorized by this act.
