Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately provide for the installation of a certain plaque in the state house, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
The superintendent of state office buildings is hereby authorized and directed, in consultation with the art commission, established under the provisions of section nineteen of chapter six of the General Laws, to install in a suitable place in the state house, a plaque to be provided and maintained by the department of public health honoring Doctor Frank H. Parker.
