CHAPTER 101 AN ACT VALIDATING CERTAIN PROCEEDINGS OF THE NARRAGANSETT REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT AND ITS MEMBER TOWNS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The proceedings taken by the Narragansett regional school district school committee authorizing the incurring of debt in the amount of twenty million six hundred and three thousand two hundred and fifty dollars for reconstructing, adding to, equipping, remodeling or making extraordinary repairs to the Narragansett regional high school and the proceedings taken by the member towns of Phillipston and Templeton at their respective special town elections held on January twenty-second, nineteen hundred and ninety-six and at their respective special town meetings held on January twenty-third, nineteen hundred and ninety-six are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed, and shall be deemed to authorize and approve the incurring of such debt by the Narragansett regional school district under the provisions of clause (d) of section sixteen of chapter seventy-one of the General Laws and for the exemption of each member town's share of the amounts required to pay the debt so incurred from the provisions of section twenty-one C of chapter fifty-nine of the General Laws, notwithstanding any defect or omission in the form or content of said proceedings.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
