CHAPTER 116 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITIES AND TOWN OF SUFFOLK COUNTY TO BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS ON JUNE SEVENTEENTH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND NINETY-SIX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections twelve and thirteen of chapter one hundred and thirty-six and chapter seventy-one of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the school departments of the cities and town of Suffolk county are hereby authorized to be open for business for all purposes, including the instruction of students in classrooms on Monday, June seventeenth, nineteen hundred and ninety-six.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
