Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The bridge located on state highway Route 140 over Interstate highway Route 290 in the town of Shrewsbury shall be designated and known as the AMSAN John W. "Jay" Burkhardt, Jr., United States Navy, Memorial Bridge, in honor of AMSAN John W. Burkhardt, Jr. who died in the service of his country as a member of the United States Navy. The department of highways shall erect and maintain a suitable marker on said bridge bearing said designation in compliance with the standards of said department.
