CHAPTER 150 AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A BEAUTIFICATION FUND IN THE TOWN OF BRAINTREE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The town of Braintree is hereby authorized to establish and maintain a separate fund, which shall be designated and known as the Beautification Fund, for the purpose of funding beautification projects that improve the aesthetic appearance of the town. Said town is hereby authorized to raise and appropriate three hundred and fifty thousand dollars which shall be transferred to said account and any interest earned thereon shall be credited to said fund. The principal of said fund shall remain intact and any interest earned on said principal shall be used for purposes which enhance the aesthetic appearance of said town. Any expenditures from said fund shall require a majority vote of the board of selectmen.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
